These are the High-S (Steady, Servant) personality trait that are said to “make the world go around.” They are not the presidents or CEO’s. They are the people who get the jobs done.
People with a servant-personality are the ones that the leaders thank during their speeches. They are also the ones who like their leaders to define and delineate so that they can take those marching orders and proceed to get their job done well and make sure they are finished by 4:30, not 4:31.
Picture Grandma having the apple pie on the table just when you need it most. They are also a “good ear” because they are motivated by relationships and make for some of the best friends.
They show up for work or an assignment fifteen minutes early, take time to get settled in and have their cup of coffee.
They’ve set life on a system. THEIR system. Don’t interrupt or change or you will feel their ire. It may be passive aggressive, but it will be there.
High-S personalities do not like disorganized supervisors, spouses, church leaders or anyone who throws a monkey wrench into their plans.
For leaders, these workers/volunteers are a God-send. But they are like computers. When all is well, they are magic. When they are not, they may put something else in your coffee!
PORTAL TO HEAVEN: The two sides of the servant-personality show us that even the best servants have their flesh to deal with. They might blindly tell you that their leader is dominating without realizing that they are trying to control the leader by making him or her fit into their preferred method of planning. You can see God working through fireworks and forgiveness.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us…if it is serving, then serve…submitting to one another in the fear of God…Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
