The Longest "Day" Of Your Life

Eventually a summer day comes to end…even in Alaska.

Summer is the most benevolent season when it comes to daylight and a lot can be done by even the least industrious amongst us. These long hours of sunshine can also provide us with literal golden opportunities at beaches, bays and lakes or wherever our choice of leisure takes us.

In some ways, summer is analogous to the timeline of history and heaven. In that sense, it’s been a long, long, day. Many theologians believe they see dusk falling now.

Whether you’ve been industrious or not, enjoyed some fun-in-the-sun times or are just a marginal observer of the days you’ve been given, every period has a sunset.

Will yours reflect a “good day’s work?”

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: Summer’s beauty and the longevity of its days are like our lives in this: Did our “Son-light” contribute to others’ vacation or hard-labor?

Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil…Yours is the day, Yours also is the night; You have prepared the light and the sun. You have established all the boundaries of the earth; You have made summer and winter…While it is daytime, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
