Courage Doesn't Rust

A neighbor of mine was one of a dozen living WWII recipients of The Medal of Honor. He told me he was very concerned about the younger generation because they weren’t getting both sides of the story about America.

________ Honor a vet during Veteran's Week and every week. _______

Here was a man who put himself in grave danger while using anti-tank grenades to take out three German tanks in Belgium, killing German soldiers through it all and rescuing five trapped G.I.’s.

Heroes think like heroes while never crediting themselves as such.

Seven decades have passed since he was that brave young man and the only difference between now and then is his age. His courage still drives him to be concerned for a generation that may be trapped in a dangerous cultural shift.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: The great rescuer of our souls always put himself between us and danger while keeping an eye on raising up the next generation; one that we now call his first disciples.

When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel…'Behold your mother!' And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. Judges 2:10, John 19:27 NKJV
