Who Are You "Selling?"

PHOTO: The greatest "sales" staff in the world...those who minister. Seller’s Remorse?

Is there such a thing?

Well…yeah.

The term conjures up Mr. Potter in “It’s A Wonderful Life” or Willy Loman in “Death of a Salesman” or the most infamous Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol.” They all short-changed themselves with seller’s remorse by concentrating on themselves instead of service through their product.

Without tapping any of us on the back in ministry who labor to “sell” The Lord, especially around Christmas, it is an honor and it is its greatest reward. To quote from the book, The Greatest Salesman in The World, “True wealth is of the heart, not of the purse.” *

Some may not like the word “sell” used in conjunction with God -particularly in this climate of mega-ministries. “I hate salesman” is also an expression used by many.

But I have grown to admire just about anyone who is selling any worthy thing. It is one of the hardest jobs in the world because you have to pull from something deep to properly transfer a concept from one person to the other. It is profound for no one is ever forced to buy anything. In the end, the buyer alone signs on the dotted line.

I know this first hand. I’m in the hearing field both in the natural and supernatural.

I have to offer hearing aids at a price. But once I prove that hearing is worth the sacrifice of someone parting with their wallet, I have successfully changed a life through the exchange of a concept-turned-reality.

I have to offer my books and writing services for a price to pay for the printing and other costs associated with this art. But if hearts can “hear” God better through my craft, I have helped facilitate what Jesus and the Apostle Paul labored at with all of their strength. They didn’t do it for money. But they were supported financially.

Our ministry never asks for donations. Instead, we provide tangible products and services and it is at this time of year that I’d ask you to consider buying a case of books ("Portals To Heaven") to give away as a financially-reasonable and unique Christmas present (only $9.95 each) and one that will spiritually build up others. And, as always, if you could take just one minute to write a review on Amazon, I would personally appreciate it.

Be a “case in hand." You just may turn into one of those salesman that will never have “seller’s remorse.”

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: It is said, “We all have something to sell.” If you could pick one person to “pitch,” who would that be?

[Jesus] is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me. Colossians 1:28 NIV [Editor's bracket]
