The concept of "purity" may stir up some mixed emotions, but it is something we stare in the face during the lighting of the fifth Advent candle.
Metaphorically, the white candle seems the most prominent and daunting. It is white, straight and in the middle of the wreath.
But it can make anyone squirm. Am I really pure in the physical, emotional and spiritual sense? No.

beautiful feeling to think the unthinkable; that someone is pure…that there is a perfection.
We can go from wiggling in our seat to sitting up straight and striking the match because He earnestly works within us to match us up with Him.
PORTAL TO HEAVEN: Celebrated properly, Christmas can be the greatest hope-filled stress-reliever as we think of God’s goal to make us squirmlessly pure.
