Edge of Eden

PHOTO: Did Eve ever gaze at a spiderwort as they open at sunrise?

The edge of Eden is neither on GPS or in a fantasy script. On one hand, it’s the nagging thought that there really is something better, that life isn’t quite right. On the other hand, it’s the higher thoughts, ideals and desires that work within us and propel us forward as if it’s a destination not far off; as if we are on its edge. While media reporting, internet overload and even overwhelming responsibilities may cloud the latter and emphasize the former, we’d do well to spend some time gardening or visiting a park. When we look into the smallest of buds, perhaps it will take the edge off one reality and usher us into the edge of Eden. PORTAL TO HEAVEN: God drops hints. It’s up to us to pick up on them. Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed…with all the Lord's holy people…grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ… Genesis 2:7,8 NIV, Ephesians 3:18 NIV
