What can love do and what can’t it do?
Like engineers that push material to the limits to see when they will crack, love can be tested in the same way.
Scripture details love getting forced to a breaking point in the example of Stephen. However, the only thing that broke were his bones. He never succumbed to hatred and one of love’s end result - praying for your persecutor - arose as Stephen fixed his gaze on Jesus.
In the volatile climate of unrest and pandemic uncertainty, love will have only one question on its test: “Will you choose love over anything else, no matter the provocation?”
