Paradoxes Point To...

Perplexing paradoxes perform as portals to heaven.

It's interesting that people who insist that God doesn’t exist or that the events and sequences are coincidences and random are the very ones who point us to God’s interaction in everyday happenings. It’s reminiscent of the Apostle Paul’s intertwining of sin and the law in the Book of Romans.

For example, scientists know a lot.

The more time passes, the more information and discoveries amass. The more they know, the more a great body of them conclude that God does not exist. Moreover, the more global each country becomes, the more pressure they feel to accept the many gods that those nations or regions put forth so as not to offend and risk affecting their economic or political relationships. God must become one big smoosh or blob.

Between the scientific community not weighing in or dissing God’s existence, and the political factors that exalt globalization over everything, the knowledge of God can ironically become less with the increase of knowledge and communication.

This paradox suggests that we’ve become too big for our britches. It also implies a conspiracy. There seem to be only two master conspiracies: 1) that of a God who has strung an innumerable amount of clues in which it is impossible to miss him in the everyday and, 2) Satan, who is determined to cover up God’s conspiracy.

The ever-expanding “information age” mixed with the great scientific discoveries give you and me a choice that makes for an era in which “man is without excuse.”

Seeming paradoxes play into God’s hand. Is it any wonder that He snickers when He shuffles the cards?

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: As our knowledge grows of the natural, the choices of the supernatural become more obvious, not more confusing. He even uses paradoxes for simplicity sake.

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.’…Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’

Romans 1:18-20 (NIV), Isaiah 55:8,9 (NIV), John 14:6 (NIV)
