Whose funeral would you have like to have attended? Whose funerals would you like to attend in the future; the ones you wouldn’t want to miss?

When I see televised funerals of the famous and noted, I am inspired by their great accomplishments, character qualities and the legacies through their influences.

Almost always, someone will tell a story about the adversities of the deceased and how those actually became an integral part of their life’s message.

It makes one think of one’s own funeral. What will be said at mine?

That depends on today. What I do today is a microcosm of what my life will be in full. It’s a snapshot.

It makes today seem like the most important day of my life.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: One tiny or big evidence of love for God and others will act as the multiplier that fuels a eulogy that can open up portals to heaven for everyone with eyes to see and ears to hear.

In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor. About that time she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room. Lydda was near Joppa; so when the disciples heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to him and urged him, ‘Please come at once!’ Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven…And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!"
